Testimonials

The response from our clients was beyond my expectations. They thoroughly enjoyed Lauryn and Russell’s expertise and sense of humour.

By providing something ‘different’ in the corporate entertainment arena, Corporate Shooting Stars has ensured that we will seek to involve many more of our client’s with its product.

The bottom line is that the shooting was great, the food was fantastic and the coaching was world class. Thanks again...

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens if the weather is bad?
A: We will do our best to ensure that the day is enjoyable regardless of the weather. If it is pouring rain or lightening we will take a break until the harsh weather passes. Otherwise we encourage you to wear weather appropriate clothing to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible during your experience.

Q: How many participants can this activity cater for?
A: We have a variety of packages available that enable us to accommodate for all group sizes. We cater for Corporate groups (8+ people), individual coaching sessions and special occasions like Bucks events and Birthday parties. If you are interested in Clay Target Shooting, we have got the right package for you.

Q: What do we actually shoot at and what type of firearms and ammunition do we use?
A: All the firearms are current Beretta 12 gauge shotguns. Beretta is widely recognised as the best firearm manufacturer in the world. Some of the guns used during the events are the actual firearms used by Russell and Lauryn in their Olympic and Commonwealth Games competitions. Their value ranges from $3,000 all the way up to $35,000 per shotgun. We only use low recoil competition target ammunition.

Q: Do you need a shooters licence to do this activity?
A: No firearms licence is required. No previous shooting experience is needed although we do cater for all levels of ability. In some states a temporary police firearms licence form will need to be filled prior to the activity.

Q: Is there an age limit and is it for males only?
A: There is a minimum age limit of twelve years. Gender is no limitation. Females have on many occasions indeed out- performed their male counterparts during the competition section of the activity.

Q: Is there any instruction provided?
A: All of our days begin with a firearms safety instruction demonstration and then a basic practical demonstration on how to hold a firearm and shoot some relatively easy clay targets. As the day progresses more difficult shots are introduced.

Q: Who actually conducts the day?
A: To ensure we can provide the best possible experience at a variety of venues Olympic Gold Medallist Russell Mark, Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Lauryn Mark and the rest of our team will be available to conduct a thoroughly unique experience. If you have a particular Team Member in mind for your fun-filled day at the gun club, please advise and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Q: Is this activity safe?
A: All shooting is undertaken within the confines of an un-inhibiting safety cage. All firearms are loaded and unloaded by a qualified instructor. There has never been an accident of any kind at any of our days over the past decade. All safety equipment such as safety glasses and ear protection is provided.

Q: What attire should I wear?
A: Comfortable clothes and footwear such as sand shoes are encouraged. Thongs, singlet tops on males and camouflage army attire is prohibited. Sun glasses and caps are useful. Jackets with big collars are discouraged as they make mounting the shotgun into the shoulder correctly a problem.

Q: Can we consume alcohol during the activity?
A: We enforce a strict "ZERO BLOOD ALCOHOL" policy. No alcohol is to be consumed before or during the activity. Any suspicion of any consumption of alcohol will result in the participant not being able to handle a firearm. At most venues bar facilities are available at the completion of the activity. At our Corporate events the first round of drinks is provided free of charge.
